New logo

Image
This is our new logo. After much thought, we wanted to have a second logo that looks a little more professional than our previous logo. This one will be for our website and for anything we have to use professionally. The other logo we have could be used for the merchandise because it is going to be more eye-catching on the black of our merchandise. The gold and silver will stand out more than this logo and will still be good for marketing. The new logo above is more simple and still alludes to the acting, directing and also the technical side with the illuminating of the directors chair. Having the simple black and white image is simple but effective with the gradient, so it adds a little flair to it. My partner and I have agreed on this to be our main logo, but also keep the other one to add a little personality to the merchandise. We want to be able to include both logos as they both represent who we are as a business, this one being more for the older students and the other one r...

Monologue part 5

This was my final recording of my monologue. During this process, I have settled into the role well and learnt about the character and how she would respond to the person in front of her. The improvised part at the beginning allowed me to get into character and be able to show that she is already impatient and sarcastic towards Jessie. This also made the monologue flow a lot better than before and this made me fall into the character so much easier than I had in the first few run throughs. Video one feedback: This was so much better than the previous ones. I liked how you transitioned between writing and talking. This felt more like a therapist talking than previously, which is the character. You looked more in character and the tone of your voice was really strong. Video two feedback: This was again, better. I liked how you pointed to where she was supposed to sit. I’m not sure, but it feels as if you start from nowhere, there isn’t something that makes you start talking s...

Monologue part 4

This was my best recording of my monologue so far. This is because I am becoming a lot more confident with the lines and not having to think too much about them when saying them. It is becoming a lot more natural and easier for me to fall into the character. It is good for me because I have now ran it a good few times and my body language is becoming more for the character. Video one: This was the best out of all of them. I liked how you started it off by huffing. I like how you smiled because you looked a little evil, like a bully. You came closer to the camera which I liked too. Try using a pen and point at her with it when you direct some things to her. You are getting better, well done. This feedback has been the best out of all of the videos I have sent to my partner. She is giving me some things that I could add in to help the character development and something that I can do with my hands instead of staying still the whole time. I also need to work on my posture because m...

Monologue part 3

This the first time that I am recording my monologue without using the script in my hand. I also decided to try sitting down, as this is how a therapist office would be set up, so this helped me get into character a lot easier. There are still some lines that I am getting confused because I have not ran it enough times to have the lines perfectly in my head, but not having the script in my hand means that I can use my hands to gesture and give more life to the character. I feel as if Carla may have a few hand gestures and so I can play with this when I record it next time.  Video one: The first one was much better than before. I felt that you were more into character. I liked how you addressed it but maybe try and have paper in your hands and maybe try and have paper in your hands and maybe start off the first few lines looking at it and taking notes and then look at her? That is something to play about with.  Video two: The second one, again was better. I liked how y...
