Personal statement:

The progress route that I want to investigate further is Acting and the technical side of the theatre. This is because after being in high school and college doing Performing Arts, it has sparked an interest in the entire concept of putting on a production. I want to go and do more work in a theatre and find out more about backstage and what happens during a production and after. This is going to help me decide if I want to go more into being on stage or going behind stage and working on the set and lighting.

I would possibly like to go to University, although I don’t know which one yet. I would want to go and do drama, since my confidence has gone up when performing. I want to work in the theatre, not film. This is because acting on stage to a live audience comes across as more challenging than having numerous takes on a camera that can be edited. Performing on a stage cannot be stopped and redone to an audience and this is what challenge I want to have.
