This task was to explain the basics of photoshop and how you would make a poster from a collection of images. The above poster was two separate images and the text was placed on through Adobe Photoshop, it was a good task to be able to understand how to use the software and this will help myself when we are marketing our 15 minutes short film that we are producing. This has helped me increase my skills when using Photoshop and this will continue when making our logo because I will use it to make sure our logo is neat and simple to look at. Photoshop is going to be important in the future for the business because we can create posters on there for any shows that we are going to be putting on by the students. This task has helped with that knowledge of how to make something quick and simple, but effective for the business and for the film.

Summary of my current intentions: Overall, my current intentions at this moment is to possibly go to university or go to college and study makeup artistry. This is because I have found a big interest in how it is done, and how mainly prosthetics are done since I have not been able to try working with them before. Having watched a lot of movies where they use things like this is what really sparked my interest in it, therefore I would need to go to university and study how this is done. I would also like to look more into the technical side of theatre and see how a production is done. I will get this through work experience and researching how everything is done behind stage. This will help me in the theatre world as well because then I may not be on stage, but I will still be working somewhere where I want to.

Personal statement: The progress route that I want to investigate further is Acting and the technical side of the theatre. This is because after being in high school and college doing Performing Arts, it has sparked an interest in the entire concept of putting on a production. I want to go and do more work in a theatre and find out more about backstage and what happens during a production and after. This is going to help me decide if I want to go more into being on stage or going behind stage and working on the set and lighting. I would possibly like to go to University, although I don’t know which one yet. I would want to go and do drama, since my confidence has gone up when performing. I want to work in the theatre, not film. This is because acting on stage to a live audience comes across as more challenging than having numerous takes on a camera that can be edited.
